Katie moved to BC in 2018 to pursue her passion for downhill mountain biking, with the goal to compete and ride in Whistler. Originally from Bristol in the UK, she graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc in Physiotherapy after becoming interested in the career from her love of biking and sports.
In the UK she worked within the NHS where she treated musculoskeletal injuries, and has experience on the road supporting bike events. Since then she has moved into Canadian private practice working within the Sea to Sky area.
Katie focuses on using a patient centre care model and evidence informed practice, to ensure an up to date treatment plan is delivered with the patient central to the decision making process. Her main skills for treatment focus on exercise based rehab with the addition of manual therapy (if indicated) to optimise function. This year she finished her APPI clinical pilates matwork education, and has done further training on diagnosing lower limb injuries in sport. She enjoys working with clients to help them reach their goals, whether that is returning to work, sport or daily life.
Outside work you’ll find her on the mountain - whether that is skiing, biking or hiking. Wind, rain or shine!

Allison is an energetic person and a competitive athlete. She competed in varsity rowing and hockey at the University of Guelph, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics degree. She then graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. She now has over 10 years of experience and has spent much of her career serving the Whistler community. In addition to her private practice, Allison works with the World Cup Para-Alpine team, helping them prepare for the 2022 Paralympics in Beijing.
Allison’s physical health practice model is to create a positive intention for collaboration between you, the client, and the therapist. What does that mean? It means that you are an active participant in your treatment. Your individual needs, abilities, and goals will guide the care you receive. The collaboration formed through this approach to physiotherapy will build a foundation upon which you can grow and prevent future injuries. Allison utilizes a hybrid of hands-on modalities and exercises to achieve each client’s unique goals. She addresses acute concerns, uncovers underlying mechanical issues, and works through reoccurring injuries and symptoms. She has advanced training in functional dry needling, manual therapy, acupuncture, functional exercise prescription and concussion recovery.
As well as being a physiotherapist, Allison is a mother, partner, and an adventurer. Her favourite winter activity is skate skiing while pulling her son in the Chariot and her favourite summer activity is mountain biking and camping with her family.
